Account Manager

The Account Manager is an integral role ensuring we build lasting relationships with our clients. The role involves actively working with customers to ensure their satisfaction and full use of our services as well as understanding how they can make better use of technology.

We are looking for ambitious, driven and focused Account Managers to work within our busy sales team focusing on our data centre products and IT service support offerings.

You will have great interpersonal skills and the ability to position technical services sales at all levels.

The Account Manager role will involve generating new opportunities within both our existing and net new customers. Our IT services propositions are based around our technical project delivery capabilities, IT service (service desk) support function and cloud based service activities.

As an Account Manager you will be targeting and working with organisations within the mid-market in Sussex and across the UK. Our customers are primarily in the home counties and London areas however, we are not limited to these areas. You will be supported by our business development activity and opportunity leads programme, and will also be expected to generate your own business development activity.

Requirements include :
  • Previous experience within the IT industry (minimum 3 years)
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills
  • Ability to understand requirements, to address technical problems and solutions and to understand the business implications
  • An enthusiastic and positive attitude
  • Ability to work to targets and to build a sales pipeline
  • Computer and literacy skills are required for efficient documentation and proposal writing
Responsibilities :
  • Manage a portfolio of existing, trading customers
  • Creation of business development activities and campaigns
  • Maintain and develop customer satisfaction and use of products and services
  • Generation of proposals and quotations
  • Report to the Sales Director to deliver accurate business forecasting
